Why am I here???

The main reason that I came to Clemson is that I love the atmosphere around the campus. I like how the University encourages interaction between different departments. I feel that all of the different departments interacting with one another will lead to a development of more well-rounded graduate and undergraduate students. For example, I received an e-mail this morning encouraging students in the English department to work in the Theatre department. I also noticed a poem hanging in the first floor of Daniel Hall about mathematics. I hope to be able to be involved not only with the English department but hopefully a few others as well to help my professional development.

Before I came to Clemson, I received a great deal of information on the program from Dr. Bennett. We corresponded through letters and emails. Clemson is also close to Atlanta.

What brought me to Clemson

A few things brought me to Clemson. I applied to Virginia Tech, where I did my undergrad, Auburn, Louisiana State, Clemson and Georgia. Georgia had been my first choice, but out of all my applications, I heard back from Clemson in the beginning on January. She called me personally and offered me an assitanceship. As the Spring Semester went on, I visited Clemson, and after a few times, I knew this is where I wanted to continue my education. A few little factors such as a good football program, a place similar to Virginia Tech and a warm climate all helped in my decision. So far, it seems like the right choice, and I'm excited to be part of the Clemson University community.
